We took Tico to Redondo Beach Dog Park for some frisbee run. We ran into Maynard, this gem of an english bulldog, who helped himself with the shade from the bench B and I were sitting at. We love this dog because he just spread his legs like a sexy centerfold to maximize his comfort. Forget about people-watching at Shade last night. Dog-watching takes the cake. There's Larry, the crazy dog who wanted to get out of the park each time someone gets in. It took about three of us to try to carry/snag him so he gets back inside. He tried to bite me, but with years of Tico, I'm not scared. The owner was apparently busy with her other two dogs on the other end of the park. Then there's a brand new lab mix puppy who's still trying to acclamate himself with the park, and cowers around his owner each time Maynard the bulldog wanted to play with him.
Afterwards, we rushed to the Angels Stadium. We parked across the street because B did not like the parking system here, and off we go to the Will Call. The Yankees are coming. And they are here to fight with the good old So Cal Angels. I love this stadium. Everyone in B's family love the Doyers, so we go a few times a year; but darn these Doyer fans need to relax. And in light with what happened to the SF Giant's fan at the beginning of the season, and the fact that the Dodger's owners are in financial troubles, and with the nearby residences clean up issues, the Dodgers are not having a great PR-friendly season.
To their credit, the Angels has had a great run with the Western Division, until last season. Hopefully they do great this year. But today was not going to be one of those days. By the way, one guy that I look forward to when we see the Yankees play, A Rod, did nothing this game. And I really like him for someone who's severly overpaid, at least he makes good plays. Not like our good old friend Manny for the Dodgers. Jeter, who everyone loves (who I dislike), did good. Today, he's a'ight. I can't find a blip about dog-friendly night inside Angel's Stadium, so no dogs allowed as far as I know.
All in all, the weekend was full of errands, Tico QT time, and good fun. Very ideal, and heavenly for the Tico household.
